Our prayer, our hope for the Jackson District Living in Touch Prayer Initiative is to connect local congregations to pray for each other and support each other by sharing resources, successes through personal God stories and words of encouragement. As a connectional church and part of the Body of Christ as a whole we are not in competition with each other but rather in mission together to support and unite in ways that demonstrate the love of Christ to a lost and hurting world. The twelfth chapter of Romans outlines this well beginning with our responsibility to God and continuing with our responsibilities to each other and society as a whole.
Foremost is committing our lives to Christ through repentance, disciplined prayer and study that transform who we are and how we relate to others. As we do this we become an active body of believers that is united in Jesus Christ for His plans and purposes leading us to represent Christ to a lost and hurting world.
